Positive Life Journey
My name is Kristina Mize. I am a counselor, mother, and healer. I have lived here is Ukiah for 7 years now and have worked with our youth in multiple different arenas. It has become drastically apparent that our community as a whole is failing our teens. By the 11th grade 50 % of the youth in our community is or has been using drugs. There is a lack of support and activity for youth to direct their energy and focus. There continues to be an increase of youth joining gangs or leaving Ukiah as soon as they can because they do not feel like they belong. This is a call to come together and remedy this injustice. Be the change we want to see.
